Project story
We worked in collaboration with English Heritage to ensure Television Centre's famous Helios building, along with the courtyard and atomic dot wall Studio One, was carefully refurbished while preserving many other original features.
Film and production studios were also retained as we continued the project's legacy and made a positive difference to local communities. During the project we helped local people to find work, placed 100 apprentices across our supply chain and worked with young adults through the Prince's Trust.
We provided smart building solutions and innovative new delivery programmes to save time and costs for key areas such as the basements, utilities, superstructures of each plot and prefabrication to ensure we effectively removed risks and delays from the project.
Our approach maximised prefabrication and off-site assembly of components, such as mechanical, electrical and public health services, resulting in quality and health and safety benefits.
